PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Avionics Technician to join our Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) team in Mobile, AL. This is a safety-sensitive position requiring strict adherence to FAA regulations and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct maintenance, testing, and repair of aircraft electrical/electronic systems.
- Perform inspections and operational checks on navigation, communication, and flight control systems.
- Fabricate and install wiring harnesses and avionic systems.
- Interpret wiring diagrams and schematics; troubleshoot and repair components.
- Operate ground support and test equipment for system diagnostics.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with FAA-approved procedures.
- Collaborate with team members and assist in training junior personnel.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to OSHA and company safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Preferred: FAA Airframe and Power Plant (A&P) license.
- Preferred: FCC 2nd Class License.
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in avionics/electrical systems.
- Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
- Experience with digital avionics equipment and turbo prop aircraft is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in confined spaces.
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
